Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center committed to reducing cancer death and suffering through:
Pioneering research and team science
A team approach to innovative cancer treatment
Evidence-based prevention, education and community outreach
Comprehensive services to meet the unique physical, emotional, psychological and practical needs of cancer survivors after treatment, regardless of age at diagnosis, type of cancer or where they received their oncology care
Located in Nashville, Tennessee, our center lies in the "buckle" of the "cancer belt" – seven contiguous states with the highest death rates from cancer. Our job is not done until those statistics are changed.
Cancer is too big a problem to be solved by one cancer center. Through our participation in the network of National Cancer Institute-designated centers, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and other local, regional and national collaborations, we are dedicated to being a partner with others who share our mission.
Vanderbilt Medical Center is a place where your expertise will be valued, your knowledge expanded and your abilities challenged. It is a place where your diversity — of culture, thinking, learning and leading — is sought and celebrated. It is a place where employees know they are part of something that is bigger than themselves, take exceptional pride in their work and never settle for what was good enough yesterday. Vanderbilt's mission is to advance health and wellness through preeminent programs in patient care, education, and research.
Our Infusion Clinic at the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center is designed to provide our established oncology patient with expert care in the most comfortable setting possible. Appropriate patients receive supportive care such as blood products, IV fluids, and various other treatments. In addition, we offer oncology patients more scheduling flexibility to receive their chemotherapy treatments. These services greatly increase the comfort and quality of life for all of our patients.
We believe highly skilled and specialized nursing care is essential to VUMC's mission of quality in patient care, education and research. We believe nursing is an applied art and science focused on helping people, families and communities reach excellent health and well-being. The nurses on our team complete assessments, infusion treatments, palliative care and system management. Our nurses will be working with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other health professionals. If you want to make a difference, then join the team!
