The Nurse Manager coordinates with an array of services, such as:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for creating a safe, healthy work environment to support the clinical infusion team’s productivity. The Nurse Manager models patient engagement and superb patient service. This influential role promotes the professional services environment and stimulates interdisciplinary work culture to contribute to optimal patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager enables nurses to grow personally and professionally.
The Nurse Manager will oversee clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, and accurate medical record documentation.
Collaborates with Chief Operating Officer on development and implementation of nursing department’s mission, values, goals, policies, procedures, and budget.
Serves as a key problem solving resource for clinical staff and patient concerns.
Studies patient needs/trends, analyzes patient flow problems, and suggests solutions to patient care issues and concerns for increasing patient and caregiver engagement.
Coordinates with Human Resources on recruiting, selecting, orientation, learning and development, and evaluating performance for nursing staff.
New York State Registered Nurse License
Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Certification and ONS Certification; ACLS
Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing
Master’s Preferred in Nursing Leadership
Three (3) or more years of managerial or leadership experience in medical oncology within an ambulatory setting
Excellent communication and oratory skills for mentoring and developing staff
Bilingual or multiple language skills are a plus
