The Birmingham VA Health Care System is recruiting for one (1) part-time Dental Registered Nurse. Recruitment incentive not authorized. Please read announcement carefully before applying. OMFS Nursing Duties include but are not limited to: Unit specific competencies Telemetry/Capnography monitoring Intravenous access BLS/ACLS Pharmacological calculations Administration of IV Push and infusion of intravenous medications Subcutaneous and intramuscular injections Point of Care Testing (I-STAT, Glucometer) Medication reconciliation and documentation Case Management Oral Surgery Consult Management OMS scheduling of consult patients OR Surgical Case Scheduling and Case Management DRM Plus Reports to capture clinic procedures Travel and Lodging Consults Entry of orders Daily Flowsheet Assessments Formulates Moderate Sedation Reports for Anesthesia Service Utilizes Microsoft Word/Excel to produce documents/reports for OMS Chief Selection of cases for PEER Review Reports Confirms provider privileges Pyxis Inventory/ Controlled Substance Inventory Crash Cart Inspection Contacts vendors relative to product/training for OR cases Assist with research (CITI training certified) Assists with orientation of residents Provides vascular access training to residents for IV certification Work Schedule: Wednesday through Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm Telework: Not authorized Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: Not authorized
