Provides professional nursing care to patients in a safe and effective manner that is consistent with Logan Health’s policies and procedures.

*Maintains nursing standards of care, and executes appropriate physician orders. While executing patient care, exhibits knowledge of and maintains the patient’s right to diversity, privacy and confidentiality.
*Performs a comprehensive assessment of patient on admission and at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient or as ordered by the physician/provider.
*Administers medications, treatments, physician/provider specified care and intravenous therapy to patients in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
*Reassesses the patient to monitor status, identifies changes in vital signs, lab work and implements interventions as ordered or defined. Assesses and evaluates the patient responses to treatment and/or therapy in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
*Communicates all appropriate and critical changes in the patient’s condition, status and findings to the appropriate physician/provider in a timely manner or as defined by policies and procedures and/or physician/provider orders.
*Documents in the chart all clinical findings in an accurate and timely manner as required by regulatory mandates to maintain compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures or as defined by regulatory requirements.
*Exhibits competency/currency in specific competencies within 60-days of department employment. Completes and exhibits competency/currency in specific required unit competencies and educational requirements as defined by department leadership.
*Exhibits knowledge of staffing standards and a commitment to cost containment with all resources.
*Complies with and maintains regulatory compliance requirements as defined for the nursing care on the unit and according to hospital standards.

Current Montana RN License required. BSN degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in Medical/Surgical and/or Oncology Care required.
Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required. Current PALS, PEARS, or ENPC preferred.
ONS Bio/Chemotherapy and/or APOHN (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) provider status must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire. National Certification in Oncology Nursing or CRNI preferred.
Experience with all types of IV access preferred.
Chemotherapy experience preferred.
