Job Summary: Maintains total responsibility for the direction, leadership, management, and administration of all operations of the Department of Pharmacy in a tertiary care medical center. Operations include 24/7/365 inpatient services, including multiple pharmacy satellites; pediatrics, oncology, and an outpatient infusion center which operate in varying shifts, the preparation of intravenous and parenteral solutions, in-service education, and inventory control and security. Supervision is exercised over a substantial number of pharmacists and supportive staff. The Director of Pharmacy works collaboratively with the Department of Pharmacy leadership team to implement and maintain progressive and best practice health system pharmacy services.
