Position Summary
Nurse Coordinator - Infusion Clinic (Sickle Cell Focus) The position will start as part time, but will eventually be a FULL TIME position. Starting Schedule is 28 hours/week, 3 days (Monday, Thursday, Friday). TBD when it will be moved to full time.
Phoenix Children’s is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Coordinator to join our Infusion Clinic team. This part-time role focuses on providing specialized support for patients and families navigating Sickle Cell Disease.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide education, coaching, and disease management support to patients and families.
Help patients navigate the healthcare system and coordinate ongoing care.
Build trust, encouragement, and advocacy for a challenging population of children and young adults.
Support patients transitioning from frequent hospital admissions to continuous clinic-based treatment.
Qualifications:
RN with a minimum of 3 years of experience in hematology/oncology OR direct experience working with Sickle Cell patients.
Strong communication, education, and coaching skills.
Passion for working with pediatric and young adult patients, particularly those who may experience mistrust in healthcare systems.

This position coordinates the patient care services, workflow, and activities provided by nursing and support staff of assigned program. This position provides guidance, support, and direction to staff to ensure consistent provision of developmentally appropriate quality patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, and professional standards and requirements.
Education
Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
Masters degree in Nursing. (Preferred)
Experience
Three years clinical practice experience. (Required)
Experience with pediatric patient populations. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current State of Arizona RN license OR an RN license from a compact state with multi-state privileges OR ability to establish required Arizona RN licensure prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (Required)
